Small Town Evil 2 eBook Ken Berglund
We now come in on Jack and his daughter Jennifer's lives 5 years after the events of the first book. Amanda has been gone with no signs of return in that time. Life has moved on but not particularly to bigger and better places. Jacks ex wife has had a total mental break down, he can't find steady employment, and his love life is barren at best. We are first introduced to our antagonist serial killer of children in a bold act. We also get an early glimpse at Jennifer's gift. Strange happenings begin right after the killer makes his move in the beginning quickly leading to the return of Amanda. The question of course being what could she possibly want, and why is she concerned about these murders when her business had been finished. Well why should I tell you when you should read the book and enjoy a great tale of twists and suspense. I really enjoyed this sequel. I had a hard time getting going at first but not far in it totally grabbed me. It's not a bad opening nor is there anything wrong with it. I just had a slow time in the opening. If I could rank by half stars this would be a 4.5. Since I can't I give this a very solid and well deserving 4 stars. If you loved or even just liked the first one then this is a must read.Product details

Small Town Evil 2 eBook Ken Berglund Reviews
Don't buy small town evil 1&2 expecting a book. They are basically short stories. Both books end very abruptly, perhaps to be able to continue with another story. That said, for 99 cents they were easy to read and entertaining enough.
A definite page turner ... The author connects with the reader on many levels by adding modern day euphemisms and current trends....A good read!
Closure. I love this book and I loved Small Town Evil book one. Good story with a plot a lot of people can relate to in some way.
This was an excellent follow-up to Small Town Evil! I found myself gasping from shock in each chapter. Outstanding ending! I don't mean to be greedy Mr. Berglund, but please give us another book in this series! Yes, fellow readers, it's that interesting.
Finally, some closure. Or is it? I'd love to see what Jennifer/Amanda is up to. Her future would make for an excellent series. Either way, I'll be reading everything by this author that comes out in the future. I've read everything else. Yep, I'd recommend this book and this author.
The ending was great! I hope the story continues it can go so many places. The characters we realistic and so human. The book shows the depravity of some of the people out there. Things in this book are why I watch my 5 yr old son so close. It only takes a minute for someone to grab him up. The world is cruel but also beautiful. I highly recommend this book as well as the first one.
I loved this book more than the first, but only in the fact there was more closure at the end. The only problem I have now (which really isn't one), is that it's over. I really enjoyed both books, and only wish there were more in the series than just the two books. Who knows, maybe some day Ken will add a third, with a grown up version of Jennifer/Amanda, but that is just wishful dreaming. It's fine as is.
The writing continues to flow at a steady pace, no typos, good sentence structure, no grammatical errors, that I could recall anyway. With some writers it's so bad, you have to read a line or paragraph several times before you can figure out what they meant, ruining the flow of events that pulls you into a story. Ken also balances the tight wire of bringing just enough from the previous book into the present without making it repetitious.
Bottom line? Both books in this two book series are great reads, I will continue to keep an eye out for further books written by Ken Berglund. He won me over as a total fan of his work.
